Crisp Biscuits Mrs. Busby - one lb of Flour, 1 lb of Sugar 6 Eggs, the whites and yolks beat to a cream, then put the sugar and beat all till like a custard - dry the flour and stirred in gently - drop them on paper Bake 1/4 of an hour in a quick oven Orange Jelly Mrs. Uphurnbly Take 8 oranges & rub the skin lightly on sugar then scrape it off & squeeze the oranges & one lemon through muslin then add half a pint of of water boil 1 oz of Isinglass in a little water & when nearly cold stir it into the orange juice & mould it - Maccaroni Pie - The Maccaroni to be boiled in the common way then add grated cheese & a small quantity of cream stir them together, cut paste in stripes twisted it & lay it round & round the dish to form a lining pour in the Maccaroni & bake and turn it out - Pills To Make Sausages - Mrs Hutton Clifton Chop fat & lean pork well together season with white pepper & salt & a little sweet marjoram - mix all well together with half a pound of Beef suet chopped fine to two lb of pork - do not fill the skins too full but leave room for the meat to rise when fried - Cough Pills compound speracunba, fresh squills, gum arabic one seraple of each, to be made into 18 pills - two be taken at Bed time, & one at any time of the day when the Cough is troublesome
