To Pot Fish - Miss Wood To 6 pound of fish (small sized the best) 3 quarters of a lb of Butter stewed till the butter is nearly absorbed, the heads first cut off and laid it the bottom of the stew pot, then the fish split open and the seasoning put inside - The seasoning for 6 pd of fish is a Teaspoonful of cayenne 2 of Black pepper - 1 of Mace 1 of allspice - 1 of salt Citron Cake Mrs Smith 1 lb of Butter, 1 lb of sugar 4 Eggs 1 lb of flour, the rind of the Lemons, and the juice of one, 3 ounces of citron bake in a slow own The Butter worked to a cream, then add the sugar, the Eggs, work'd to a strong froth, the flour mixed lightly in - Hard biscuits Beat one pound of sugar with 6 Eggs half an, then add one pound of flour and the rind of one lemon, drop them on paper & Baked them in a slow oven - Spunge Biscuits - Mrs. Hutton Clifton 1/2 a lb of Flour, 1/2 a lb of sifted sugar, 4 Eggs beat 20 minutes to be Baked in a cool oven - add to them a little volatine salts -
