Mahoney 1/4 lb boiled Potatoes 1/4 lb sound Cheshire cheese pounded together in a mortar add a small lump of butter, & a Table spoonful of Cream or Milk; put it into a pan over the Fire to melt the Cheese, pour it into a Dish & pass a Salamander over it or If the oven should be hot, or if you have a Tin oven, it may be baked instead of being put into a Pan over the Fire & will not then require a Salamander
