Infusion of Senna Senna Leaves 1 oz & 1/2 boiling water one pint Let it stand till cool then strain of the above infusion 1 pint Soluble tartar 1 oz & 1/2 Tincture of Senna 2 oz Mix half an oz of dried tansey free from the stems to a pint of boiling claret, when cold the infusion is to be strained & kept well stopped. The usual dose is 2 or 3 tablespoonfulls twice a day. Artificial [illegible] Milk 2 oz of pearl barley, 2 oz of candied eringo root, two oz of hartshorn [illegible] 2 2qts of water, let it boil till reduced
