Cheap pudding for the Poor. To two quarts of skim milk add half a pound of rice & two ounces of treacle. This when boil'd or bak'd will produce four Por of wholesome pudding. [illegible] Oct 30th 1812 For an Ague 30 grains salt of wormwood 30 Do snake - root 1 oz of the best bark Divide into 4 doses take one night & morning when the fit is off at the end of eight days repeat the doses at the expiration of a fortnight [illegible] the [illegible] N.B. if the fit [illigble] on night or morning defer the remedy till the following morning. Galley Pots so as [illegible] to [illegible] them quite full over the [illegible] [illegible] a little paste some water & tie them down close
