weight upon it which must not be removed till cold Gateau de Quatre Fruits Four lbs of any sort of fruit, mixed together, skins, stones & all with only one pound of sugar boiled till it is quite thick. Then poured into either soup plates, saucers, or the bottom of tea cups & left to harden. It may be made of one two or a dozen sorts of fruits the great art of making it is boiling it very much & not putting too much sugar
