Mock Turtle Soup Mrs Doughtry 1 Quart of strong mutton gravy 1 Neats foot and 2 calves feet cut into slices about an inch thick a large onion some sweet herbs an anchovy 18 oysters a small piece of Lemon peel and a blade or two of Mace all shred very fine cayenne pepper and salt and half a pint of Madeira Let all stew gently squeeze in the juice of a lemon and add the yolks of 12 eggs boiled hard 2 force meat balls
