Now Sister Ellen you have grown into womanhood & still are as modest, good, & pure in heart & purpose as when we clasped you in our arms and overloaded you with kisses - Dear Sister how can we brook the thought of another claiming you - though I am apprised of late, of an applicant to carry off our prize - Well, well a word of consolation - Dear Ellen - Those Presbyterians in the aggreate are a pretty good kind of folks You know I live among them find them a good and kind people - and if I where the aforesaid clergyman - would sue most earnestly for your favor
