Gooseberry Drops - Gather the Gooseberries when full grown but not ripe put them into a Jar and put it on a pan of water over the fire till they are soft - then rub them thro a Sieve and to 1 pound of Lump Sugar very well beat and sifted - add the white of one Egg beat it with a whisk in 2 or 3 hours - drop them on paper, and put them to harden in a warm room They should be the size of a Shilling or rather larger they are equally good of any kind of juice of fruit Miss Stewart St. [Pat?] -
