Mr Grant London Recipe for cleaning Feathers To a pound of quick Lime a Gallon of water stir it till it is dissolved pour off the water when it is settled put in the Feathers and let them steep for 12 hours stirring them occasionaly - then put them into a Tub of clean water and rinse them well - extend a fine [net?] and put the Feathers upon it and they will fall to the floor when dry - To keep Steel Bright Take Hens grease and rub over the Steel then take a little quick Lime and dust over the Grease. and if the Articles are not in use let them remain covered with this Ointment - Mr Justice Dundee Lime and hot Water takes Stains out of Marble -
