Composition Cake 2 eggs 2 cups sugar 1 " butter 3 1/2 " flour 1 " sweet milk 2 teaspoons cream tartar 1 " soda fruit and spice Beat a good deal 2 loaves Bread Cake 1 1/2 cups raised bread dough 1 1/2 " sugar 1/2 " butter 2 eggs (or one) 1/2 teaspoon soda Mix the ingredients thoroughly with the dough, beat it well, put in pans to rise awhile. then bake - fruit & spice if desired.
