I scarcely realize that I had been gone almost nine months, it seemed short to me, but towards the last I got very tired and was [illeg.] anxious to get home. Mother could scarcely wait till I got home. If ever you [illeg.] a happy family Ellie you should have seen us that evening. I had almost forgotten to tell you Ellie that I am sick to day. I have a very bad cold, and sore throat, the first time my throat has been sore since I left your house but it is very sore to day and
