Arrived at [illegible] I found Mr. Mills had called on them and inquired for me the same day I left for your place and they directed him out there that explains the mystery of his sudden visit with you. I answered his letter while I was in Berkeley he replied the same day it was received invited me to a buggy ride last sunday he came with a very nice rig took me out to his farm the family had dinner prepared we spent a very pleasant day, result We are to be married
