he asked if it was not pretty espencive feed. [we?] turned about & walked along the flower bed talked about this & that one. then he turned around the [Heleanthis?] cane along phreed or four [aclock?] has it a deep color? [Criery?] [?] &c who sade over to the [?] with [Onillin?] or [bolly?] Tuesday 24th Aug, 1867 Came here to day about twelve oclock. taken dinner aling. after dinner they brought out [Bolly?] but he did not take her off for on season, I heard the dogs bark whent out to the fount gate & there he was a coming in I had my old shoes on & my sleeves rolled up that I was some what nunplused shook hands. He came in asked after the health of [Yalhes M?] Mother was very feeble she could not talk [dored?] or much after dinner M, whent in the garden. we talked on or own subjects about the Heleanthus the eclipse the fourth & the preacher, or the [Bables?] new [bransldin?] &c he colled whent out. came an got a bucket said I better bring a bucket of water before it rains (for there was coming a heavy rain as it looked) he said let me bring. said I was so [?] on the [arad?]. I no matter. Said you don't know the spring
