Did you ever see an illustrative of this? "Her hair hung down on her pallid face, like sea-weed on a clam" I dont know of anything more provoking than to have it sung to you when your hair is hanging down, especially if it is sung in a sort of sing-song way. I dont know how to describe it. Tuesday Sept 7th School dismissed for the rest of the week, on account of the "fair."
