Saving...
Friday Mar. 17. A beautiful Spring morning. The wind sings in a very high key among the shutters, the trees are covered with beautiful foliage, composed of icicles, & the sun rises in all his glory, behind a cloud. I did not go to school in the afternoon. Played whist & acted like a fool at Lauries in the evening. Saturday 18th. Spent the afternoon and evening at Megs. Sunday. Went to church in the morning. Dr. Bingham preached. The text was from Romans, 13th chapter & 12th verse. May's left thumb is very sore & Mamma feels sure it is a felon, she has been holding it in hot lye, to scaster it. I hope it will succeed.
