ing. Played croquet at, Mr. Hosfords in the afternoon & stayed at home in the evening. I have wanted to drink so much & my tongue looked so bad &c. that Mamma took me to see Miss Dr. N. M. Hill & she gave me some powders & told me to drink hot water & ect. Sunday, Aug. 6th I went to Sunday School but not to church. Our family had a pleasant drive in the evening, probably the last Sunday evening ride we will take before we leave for the horse is going into the country this week. Monday Aug 7th. Rode out to E. Richard's this morning with Linn & May & took her book & a dish home
