Took a nap with Linn & played croquet at Mr. Richard's in the afternoon & went with her to Mr. Burden's on an errand in the evening. Tuesday Aug 8th. I intended to rise early but overslept myself & it was 8.30 before I was up & 9 found me sitting down to breakfast. I did a very little work & then helped Linn flute her dress & stayed to dinner at Mrs. Hs. Played croquet with Linn & Bennie at Mr. Richards in the afternoon. Mrs. C., Alice & Gracie came home this noon. It seems so much nicer to see them, for, although their visit was not long, we missed them a great deal.
