Saturday, Jan 27th. The January thaw, at last, & snow gowing fast. Allie & I had a pleasant ride this afternoon - at least I did. Popped corn & the went to see Allie. Sunday - 28th. I attended church this morning. Dr. Bingham preached, as usual. Sunday School & the Union meeting after it this afternoon. Papa, May & I went to the Union meeting tonight to hear J. V. Farwell of Chicago but it was so crowded that we did not stay long. Monday - 29th. It seemed so strange to be at home this morning when all the other girls have gone to school.
