As it was I voted to adjourn - & forever. Such is the result of admitting those boys to our club. Since they came they have ruled in all things & it has gone from bad to worse. They may call it adjourn if they like but I shall consider the club as one of the things that are past. I'm not mad, but --------------- Wednesday, 31 st. I did not get study or work much today. Read quite a little in "Middlemarch" (by George Elliot) while I was waiting for Mamma at Mrs. Adam's. Papa & May have gone to Mrs. Livermore's lecture. Subject - Superfluous women.
