Whitney Rodgers Corns to cure. Take the Juice of House-Leek and old Barm (such as sticks about the [Illegible]- hole is best) equal quantities Mix and make a plaster. Another . Take gum- ammoniac and yellow wax of each 2 ounces Verdigrease six Drams Melt it together and spread it on soft- leather. Renew it in two weeks. Take Laudanum 10 drops and vitriol-[other?]40 drops in a little warm water or it may be taken without the water. Chill Blinds. The juice of onions and salt is a very good thing. Take two tea-spoonfulls of common salt in a quarter of a pint of good vinegar one dose will generally be sufficient a second will not fail. Diarrhea or Lax of Bowels. Give a dram of best Rhubarb in powder in a little Brandy and water and after its operation is past give 5 drops of Laudanum in a little tea every three hours as long as necessary. Another for the same. Take a half a grain of [Illegible] 3 or 4 times a day or take a [Illegible] of Hemlock 30drops [Illegible] of cinnamon 10 drops and Laudanum 7 drops three or 4 times a day in a little tea or warm water. Dysentery or Bloody-Flux. Marsh Mallows boiled in milk and sweetened with honey. If Marshmallows cannot be had use the common mallows for [Illegible]-root is a very good substitute. Ripe Blackberries will cure if they can be got. Another. Put as much warm water in a tub as will raise it about 3 inches [Illegible] [Illegible] in the water and remain in it a quarter of an hour. Do this three times a day if necessary. If this done in the beginning of the complaint it generally cure it in afew hours. Eat rice boiled in milk.
