To make Currant Shrub. Take two Quarts of Currants, either white or red, & break them all to Pieces; then Strain them through a Sieve & to two Quarts of the Liquor put 1 1/2 lb of the best Sugar; let it stand till the Sugar is all dissolved; then put to it a Gallon of either Arrack, Rum, or Brandy, (but Arrack is best) - then run it through a Flannel Bag; bottle it, & cork the Bottles very well, & either pitch or wax them.
