Crack Nuts Mix eight ounces of sugar melt four ounces of butter into two poonfuls of Wine then With four eggs beaten & strained make into a paste add caraWay roll out as thin as paper cut with the top of a canister Wash With the white of a egg & dust sugar over Water Cakes Dry three pounds of fine flour and rub into it one pound of sugar sifted one pound of butter & one ounce of caraway make into a paste with thre quarters of a pint of boiling new milk roll very thin & cut in squares punch full of holes and bake on tins in a cool Oven
