Celery 1 pt milk 1 tablespoon flour 1 head celery. 1 large slice onion small piece mace Boil celery in pt. of water 30 to 45 min. Boil mace onion and milk together mix flour with cold milk and add to boiling milk and cook 10 min. Wash celery in water in which it has boiled and add to milk, also add butter, salt, pepper.
