Cure for the Ague.
A tea spoonful of snake root in powder, taken in a glass of Brandy & water just as the fit is coming on. Let the patient keep himself warm to encourage persporation. Eastaff
Certain Cure for the sting of Wasps, Bees, Gnats &c.
Pour Eau de luce, instantly on the afflicted part, and rub it in thoroughly, the pain will soon subside even in a few seconds, & the inflamation will cease in a few minutes
A Cure for Broken Chillblaines
Boil half an ounce of Allum in half a pint of milk & apply the curd to the afflicted part.
For Sprains or Chilblains. 
Put one ounce of Camphire into a fair wine pint bottle, add thereto 4 ounces of spirits of wine, then fill up the Bottle with Bullocks Gall, let it stand 24 hours in the chimney corner & it will be fit for use
