Pomatum for the hair. 2 Drs Spermaciti, & 2 drs White wax, 4 oz oil of almonds, 1 dr Either of the essene dial oil of Bergamot, rose, or lavender, 1 oz of rose water - The Spermaciti & wax to be melted in a cup, then the oil & rose water when warm must be added, & lastly the scent also warm beat the mixture for a 1/4 of an hour with a silver spoon. (From Miss J. B.) - A Recipe for chilblains. 1 Teacupful of vinegar, 1 teasoonful of nitre, 1 tablespoonful of turpentine, or spirits of wine. (From Mr. Koke.) - Tooth Powder. 1 Dr of Camphor, to 1 oz of Chalk. -
