20 to come, for the good of his people. He was a Luthran, but an honest and pure man. The next day we went to the Breifon hotel, near wher the Sheriff lived, and attended his meeting, at his request. It was a favored one. The everlasting Gospel was preached that night. Many wept. The Sheriff arose and impressed it upon the people to improve from that which they had heard proclaimed that night. There were two fine looking women at the meeting. Their heads were dressed in white. They said they knew the Lord had sent us. They were the deaconesses of the Luthran Church. Then the Sheriff appointed a meeting for us in the school house, where the old meeting house used to stand. Lindly Hoag had a meeting there. We rode several miles to that meeting; and then returned to the Breifon hotel. We attended our appointed meeting at five o'clock which was a highly favored one. We were very tired when we arrived at the hotel. Ida could hardly stand it til we got there. And took deathly sick that night with vomiting and pain. We staid nine days at this hotel. As has already been stated we left here in an automobile. We crossed over the snowy mountains; the snow being eight to ten feet deep in places. We would occasionally obtain some
