-30- in regard to our religious belief: I answered them all. And we parted with tender feelings, and love to one another. We had had many meetings in Norway. The one at Roiseland, the funeral and this one at Flekkefjord were the most singular and unexpected to me of any I attended in that nation. And none where we were more favored than at these two. I took several walks in this town while I was waiting there. I told Ida there was much military drill going on there. She said, "I don't wonder at that cloud of darkness spreading over thy mind; and thou not allowed to go through this place, and not have a meeting here." "I told thee," she said, "We would have to come back here, and have a meeting." This event was, and still is marvelous in mine eyes. Let all praise be ascribed to God for these things now and forever more. Eighth month, 23rd., 1912 After staying one week in Flekkefjord; and the cloud being lifted from my mind, we made ready and started for Stavanger. Arrived there at two o'clock in the after-noon. We were very glad to have reached our home again; after having had unexpected experiences, and trying things to the flesh. Yet, I felt very thankful for His watchful care.
