Saving...
82 life, and never wish to see the time when it will not be felt there. Yes, in my early days I heard His heavenly, sweet voice. Joel. In my swinging chair Second month, 2, 1914. Joel Johnson, My dear friend, Thy letter came this afternoon; I was made to rejoice in reading it, and my spirit was revived. I am glad thou art firm and steadfast in the faith; and feeling peaceful, O, what a favor that is. And that thou dost see the darkness and blindness of our society to-day. I am the first sufferer in this way; of having to go forward in the will of God without a minute. O, the slavish fear of mas has killed many. It is only the strong will which I have had; and earnest desires to do the will of God, that I have been made by His grace to go forward under all circumstances, of the faith and obedience which thou earn now; art far behind the full understanding of it, as I do. I have had experience all these many years. It is marvelous, how the Lord has opened the way through it all: but, humbling experiences have I met with the last two years in North Carolina; and also, the last time I was in Canada! I know not what I may yet have to pass through in that way; for the opening of the blind eyes; --but, to go as in the past; minding the pointings of the divine finger. And not minding whatever they will do to me. Ida R. Chamness.
