Wednesday afternoon Brother Charlie We received your letter last Saturday Mother George and Myron went to the Village a week ago yesterday Mother had two taken full view and two side views one of which she will send [to] you next time and the boys had two taken together and each one one alone and one taken together we will send you in this Tom Gale & Al- fred came to Aunts a week ago last night and the next morning Tom Clark & Tom Gale Alfred & Martha went over to Mr Philbrick's to make a call and the two latter called to the door here but did not come in (up the right margin:) Mrs Philbrick is sick with a carbuncle on her side She had Dr Preston day before yesterday (across the top upside down continuing text from following page:) (The select men are not a going) . . . to tax the Western boys here but look (. . . down all the railroad shares but if) . . . those are taxed the corporation will (down the left margin:) pay this [it?] will not make any difference on dividend
