Plymouth Mar 31 1861 Brother Charles We received your letter yesterday and also a paper. Those other papers and that book were received sometime ago and I think I mentioned them in my last letter which was sent nearly two weeks ago. The weather is quite old and some cloudy today, yesterday forenoon [name?] out in a sleigh out in the afternoon people went with wagons and have been to day. Grandmother Hall died the fifteenth of February of the Numb Palsy. she was sick two weeks They have had drifting snows at Halifax so bad that a man who died the twenty fifth of December could not be buried for a week.
