Mary was at home when she wrote but was going back last week Sally A had been at home & staid 2 weeks F. carried her to the Folks & they rode down to see Aunt Mary she is miserable but calls herself better. F says she is thinner than she was last summer Jane says she can set her heart at rest about mother coming to live with her, for Mrs. Richardson has returned & says mother will never come to (Walpole?) again, she is growing thin & failing & in the most of the time sits with her head on her hand mourning because she left the old place, & your Aunt Sarah is not bashful in saying that she does not want company until her children are grown up &
