Grinnell, Apr. 6, 1868. Prin. C. R. Clark: Dear Sir: I have just examined Miss Maggie Dalbey's cards. Result: Orthog & Definitions - wanting - I can not find any papers from her on them. Anth. 42%. Gram. 74%. Geog. 61 - His. 51% reading 82%. Writing 85%. If she desires to teach, you may reexamine in those studies in which she is most deficient & in Orthog. & Def. The rest are doing well. Miss M.E. Kelley does not, & I think can not succeed. I have written to her to that effect. I am out of letter heads - excuse c& In haste. Your friend, S.J. Buck
