Monday afternoon It is some cooler to day. It is good sleighing here now with less than a foot of snow. It rained last friday night & snow & rain wednesday night so we have a solid foundation. Alfred Collins of Rumney died 2 weeks ago yesterday & was buried Tuesday a brother of his was sick at the same time at Lowel Mass. with the tiphoid fever he died the same week & was brought up & buried on saturday. We did not send you a letter last week for we thought you would be off somewhere to spend vacation. Your father is drawing some wood Ellah is about the same - for 3 days past she has set up all day, Dr. Kelly was here week before last & left medicine for 2 weeks We expect he will call again this week
