I wish you could take a peek at our house and the balance of the houses in Fort Dodg? you would see a lot of Slabes? set up on end and the same for a {illegible} and the cracks filled up {illegible} pay? But for all that folks still come in. We {illegible} afford 5 dollars per month for just room. Enough to set one bed in our shanty. So you may think it is a hard place to winter but I think these is a better time a coming. Give our love to all the friends. I was astonished to learn that mother was in Granville? before . We heard she was going. Was glad to hear she got home safe. We have not heard from Charles since we left there. Tell Frank that there was a wolf came and looked in at the window a few mornings ago.
