noon there. It was such a perfect day and the Bay and the hills looked so beautiful. In the evening we went to a whist party and did not get home till close onto midnight; but we had a lovely time. The next day I was so tired and sleepy I lay down about three and slept till seven, then I got ready for bed and slept till morning. I just tell this to show that I am overcoming my wakefulness. Tuesday evening our euchre club met here and we had a pleasant evening. Wednesday my sister and I went to the reception tendered the President by the Knights. It was one of the finest spectacles I ever wit -
