Montrose March 25 1887 Mr Simon Grolton Dear sir. Yours of March 20 is received glad to hear from you, as I have often heard my Father speak of your Father and his wife and you also. Thay yoused to corospond often for years. we have the letter that was written in 1854 while Uncle and Aunt lived in New York. Thay wrote often untill the past twelve years then thay but once in a year the last one we got was 8 years a go she sent her photo to Father. we did not know of her death untill we got yours letter, my Sister wrote to Uncle soon after Fathers death which was in March 1880 his health was always poor evr since I could remember
