of March he will give me a pass for 30 days for they only give them to run till the last of each month so as long as it dont cost me any thing I may as well run around a little. Milt will cook for himself the first week then will come up after us and stay a week. I thought at first I would surprise you all but I was afraid I could not get out there from Marion. I had a long letter from Mat the other day & will ans soon. haint this the nicest winter you ever saw it is a good thing for us for this is an awful cold house. the old precher told Milt it was so warm [the following is written upside down on the top of the page] Well I will close for this time.
