Pickled Plums. 7 lbs of Plums. 4 lbs of sugar. one pint of vinegar. 2 oz cinnamon. 2 oz cloves. Put the fruit and spices in Layers together - or put the spices in a bag and boil in vinegar & sugar - Boil the sugar and vinegar together & pour over the plums three mornings, the fourth, simmer all together - Peaches are pickled in the same way. only use a scant pint of vinegar -
