There is is encouraging in such men coming out on the right side they watch the political horizon and try to be on the popular side. In this state there are a great meany Southerners, but the Copperheads in the Legislature are not a fair sample of the Democracy - and could an election be held to day every one of the ultras would be left out - they did not succeed in carrying a single one of their treasonable madness
