121 some come forth purified others never rise. As one that has never ben here it is very hard to understand the excitement here is never [illegible] only this side of the Pacific but with all it trials we all feel reconciled to a life here none remain at home that has ben out here but are anxious to get back again. Rogers is still on the Police force my kindest regards to Mrs. Eno & Mary tell her I shall certainly look for a letter soon. The next time I write I hope I may have no unpleasant news to communicate and I hope this will be received as it is written with the kindest feelings of a friend Does John Flynn Family still live in the old house we have not rec any word from them for two or three years write soon and until then Good Bye Lucelta PS my pen has run as rapidly as my toungue used to as you will perceive but I like long letters and I do as I like to be done by in this respect your brother wrote by this steamer
