St Louis Mo Oct 25 65 Dear Uncle You will observe by the enclosed Ords that I have left the military service & harnassed to the Law. Mindful of your advice I made all the materials I could & have settled down in the city determined to "fight it our on this line" if it takes a life time I was mustered out on the 25th of September at my own request.
