St. Louis Mo Augt 23rd 1870 Dear Brother William I have a letter to day from E D Sawyer of San francisco informing me of the condition of brother Harry and that he had written the same to you. I am extremely sorry that I cannot help him, had I received this notice last spring I whould have gone out then & brought him home with me, but now what little means I have is tied up & I fear may be lost. -- Frank at present is in the same condition and can do nothing for him; so we shall look to you, and I do hope you will pack your trunk and go for him It would be a delightful trip, you would enjoy it & would do you more good than the [cost?]. Stop a day in St. Louis on your way & when you return make us a good visit -- Christine joins in the request for the visit & that you will go. Your brother Edw I. Eno
