scouts say the enemy are in their old camp at Big Springs. We will no doubt march on them soon as our Officers say the thing must be settled one was or the other soon. Scouts say they have found Boxes of ammunition up the valley where the enemy had left it. Capt. Fowler and Company was sent out to bring it in, done so also 5 prisoners. Pat Kildy & John Wilson of our company started on a Scouting expedition yesterday and have not returned. Fear they have been killed or taken captive. Received our overcoats today and the boys ware like children they must ware them now because they ware
