large reenforcements. We withdrew in good order leaveing them masters of their encampment but badly cut up as our artillery had killed and wounded between 7 & 800 of them our total loss was 10 Killed and 12 wounded. We marched back to our camp at Cheat mountain & arrived there about sundown verry tired and hungry as we had marched in all 26 miles and with no dinner. As to myself I was sick with the headache.
