shine is fast dispelling it. Dec 5th Nothing in particular transpiring only it is impossible to keep the boys from breaking guard and going to the city. I was sent out last night in charge of the patroll guard went until 12 Oclock M and succeeded in capturing about 50. Dec 6th Weather clear and warm. I am detailed as Officer of the guard today. Dec 7th Nothing uncommon transpiring. Went to the City this afternoon to buy me sash and epalets but could find none of the latter so I did not purchase either. Yesterday was payday with our Regiment and
