our babe was sick with the measles & I expect to hear the next time that Orilla and Nan both are sick with the same. Wrote a letter to Orilla tonight. Also sent an acknowledgments to the the ladies from the company & also from Dr Bond for the presents sent them and the Hospital by me when I left home. Dec 26. Cap Patterson is Officer of the day & Lieut McKinney is sick so I have command of the company today. It commenced raining at 5 Oclock this evening and is raining hard now
