Saving...
of the 36th Ind. Wrote a letter to Mark McKee. Lieut McKinney arrive to Camp tonight. No letter from Sally yet. Whats the Matter. Jan 24th. Weather clear and pleasant. General inspection and airing of quarters today. Gen. Nelson took our Colors from us today which is as much as to say the Regiment [is] disgraced which is nothing more than we deserve for playing sick and becoming so demoralized. I am officer of the guard today. Received a verry long and interresting letter from Sally , all well at home.
