1/2 mile of Green River. Had to clear the timber off the ground before we could set our tents. Late in the evening the weather cleared up warm. Country Mountanous and rockey. Feb 12. Weather as warm as may day. I am officer of the guard. The officers concluded to change the location of the camp and cleared off a camping ground on the bluff river bank. The enemys pickets can be seen on the opposite side of the river. Feb 13. Weather verry beautiful. Removed to our new camp
