on quite an eminece which make it show to great advantage. Our hasty march through the place gave but poor oportunities of forming an accurate opinion concerning it therefore I will defer giveing my views until I have had better oportunities of seeing the place. There has been two verry fine bridges across the river. One a wire suspension the other a railroad bridge both of which ware destroyed by the rebels before they evacuated the place
